Trick to installing aftermarket low beam bulbs?

I recently received the Lasfit Pro LED bulbs (2014-2020 4Runner Custom-Made H11 LED Bulbs w/Dual-Cooling System｜LASFIT) and despite spending over 2 hours last night trying to get them seated in the housings, I was unable to do so.

I can get the stock halogens seated in literally 3 seconds, so I don't think I'm doing anything incorrectly, but wanted to confirm before I chalk these up to being defective.

I assume the large tab should be placed into the large slot and then rotate until tight, correct? Am I missing something here?

Hey there.. 2 hours..?! Lol jeeeeez well try this.. remove the rubber washer/grommet from the new bulbs and replace it with the old rubber around the old bulbs.. see if that works. If it does I’ll send you my PayPal or cash app

Also compare the halogen bulb vs lastfit. See if everything lines up. When I install my amazon led, popped right in.

when i was running morimoto 2stroke 2.0 i had to swap gaskets w the oem bulb. same w my gtr lighting ultra 2. most aftermarket bulb gaskets are ever so slightly thicker and stiffer than oem. oem gaskets can be thinner because halogen h11 bulbs have a little spring-like system to clock and lock the bulb in place. the only aftermarket bulb i know of that mimics this function is the new morimoto 2stroke 3.0.

absolutely - i did not notice any degradation.

I was able to get those Lasfits in without swapping any gaskets. I did have to try the original headlights again a few times to get a feel for doing it right, but after that it was a piece of cake with the Lasfits. I guess the Lasfit gasket wasn't squished down already so it's harder to put in.

I bought some cheaper brand off Amazon and struggled a bit. It was the gasket for mine as well but I just pushed a little harder and then they were able to fit right in.

Another vote for swapping gaskets if the new ones just won't go.

I was able to get the drivers side in with the Morimoto installed gasket, but it took a ton of force, I simply could not get the passenger side one in till I swapped the gasket washers.
