Trip Computer / Range Malfunction

With gas prices soaring I went to fill up my 03 4Runner last night with gas. This morning I get up for work and my gas light is on and the trip computer has range reading of 4 miles. My first thought was maybe someone siphoned gas out of my truck so I went back to the gas station and was only able to put in about a gallon of gas before it topped off. Now the gas needle is on full but the trip computer has range reading of 0 miles.

Anyone have any ideas or has experienced a similar problem?

Disconnect the battery for a couple of hours to reset the computer and see if that helps you get back to the beginning....Reset evrything else you had like the radio stations and maybe the windows,, etc....

Thanks msanta. I did what you suggested and everything seems to be fine now. You saved me a trip to the dreaded dealer!!!

There is also a fuse that one can pull. It could be listed in the Owners manual. If you pull the battery cables you may have to reset the driver front, sunroof, & lift gate window auto controls.

Fully open the window and then hold the switch down in the open position for a few seconds. Then fully close the window and hold the switch in the close position for a few seconds. Now, test for the auto open and close functionality. Repeat if auto open/close isn't restore.
