Truck Cab Lights

Has anyone thought of doing this? I've searched on google to see what it would look like and didnt find anything. Thoughts?

There is a thread on Taco World that I found these pics. Use your imagination for the addition of a woof wack but I'd say it would be similar.

Personally, I don't ever think these look good on smaller trucks. EVER. But to each their own.

Normally, I'd agree but after seeing them on that Taco... not terrible. The stuff on the front end kills that truck for me but the roof looks ok.

I think those look pretty good. but like you said to each their own.

I really want to see what they look like before I go cutting holes in my roof, just to find out I dont like them as much as I thought. lol

OP, judging from your avatar pic, I don't think you could pull these off as well as the black truck with tinted cab lights. They are almost invisible, and the truck is very "busy" with all the deflectors, bull bar, lights, etc.

Let me add... I just went through your build thread.

Your truck looks DAMN GOOD now. Love the black SR5 wheels and the current mods.

Would not line the truck.
Would not add the cab lights.

IMO, either would "set you apart" but not do the truck any favors. So I guess, if you're going to ruin it by lining it, might as well go with the cab lights... haha. But seriously don't. The color is unique enough and it's looking great.

P.S. really like the idea of color matching the V8. I've thought I would just leave mine off until I read this. Now I'm thinking of matching or contrasting it.

thanks for the kind words. I like how it sits, for now, too. That's the reason I post these questions. its always good to get other people opinions as well as learn from other's mistakes.

Yeah I did it on mine, and if I could do it over again I'd do it again haha, I love the way it looks and I'm pretty proud of myself.

Some people don't like it, and some people like it. Do what you think is nice in your opinion.

I was initially thinking just the middle parts of the front and rear bumpers. then I thought about doing the whole truck. now, I've gotten bored with the idea and moved on to other great ideas like the clearance lights! lol which I probably wont do, but who knows.

I wanted to do the front and rear bumpers, fender flares, and panels at the bottom of each door but its under tires so itll probable be a year until i get the funds for all of that:wacko:
