I thought maybe he attached some different hooks to the recovery points, because the picture it looks like something is hanging down, i thought it was another hook or something. Maybe it's just the slack left over that is hanging down.

It was a set of double hooks. probably to handle vehicles of varying width (in terms of recovery points), or to hook onto multiple points under the vehicle to distribute the pull load.

Man, they are really going to have to explain replacing the throttle body. I could be totally wrong but...

Just dropped my truck off at the dealer and they are trying to trace the short from the fuse box under the hood back.

Limiteds have on-dash switches, not a manual shifter near the AT shifter.

Swung by the dealer to pick up the loaner car.

Here is what I got:
TSB0092-11

This one is determined by fault codes 2111 and 2112.

they are also keeping it to fix the lumbar support. A TSB was issued for that on March 1st: TSB 0051-12

could it be a similar issue for you DLak?

Yeah, but better now than while on the road! Ta least both issue are known and have TSB's so they should be able to address everything correctly and permanently.

Thanks for posting the information on the TSB0092-11! I was having a little bit of trouble reading the posted picture. Looks like trucks produced before VIN JTE.....5056465 are affected.

I was comparing my VIN to the one listed and it looks like I fall in the range...

Can you please confirm those last 7 digits for me. Thanks!!!

I'm 70 4runners inside the affected range. This explains why the same thing happened to me! Reset the ecu and I was fine, but figured it was something I did... hmph. Does anyone know if the codes are actually retained for the dealer to look it up?

Stu-Runner- I believe that my truck is also covered under this TSB if trucks before '5056465 are affected'.
My question is- if indeed your truck is covered under the TSB- do you take it to the dealer to get something fixed or wait for something like this to happen? I have never dealt with TSBs before- so once again I apologize if this is a dumb question.

How does one blow the throttle body? That seems like a pretty far thought for a Toyota, and one manufactured & assembled in japan for that matter.

I called my dealer on the lumbar/seat TSB you posted, thanks! They were not aware of it, put me on hold, looked it up....I was in 'the range'....ordered the new parts and will call me when they arrive for an apt. I have waited to have the dealer do anything as I did not want them to keep replacing the seat with the original parts.

Looks like there is a possibility of over 56,000 of people being affected!

Who are you addressing? If me, yes, free (warranty). Only 18k and 2 years old. Besides, have the 7/75 extended anyway, was in no rush.

Same here and I was pleased to see the part number changed. Both items are warranty and don't cost me anything.

Actually, TSB's are covered as long as the vehicle IS under warranty. Once you are out of warranty, then you have to pay for it. (Depending on the TSB. If it's a safety related system, etc, they will typically cover that at no cost.)
