Truck wanders on highway after lift

Hey Guys,

So I did the FJ lift with a 1/2'' toytec spacer about 4 months ago and I love the lift and ride- exactly what I was looking for. However, it is now noticeably more wobbly on the highway at speeds >60; it just seems to like to wander. I had it aligned right after the lift and they said they had trouble getting it within spec, but they were just able to. After some reading though, it seems that with the increased camber from the lift likely came this swaying on the highway. Has anyone else experienced this and have you found any solution? I am a bit surprised to see this after such a small lift (2''F / .75''R) and I really don't want to shell out $600 for aftermarket control arms.

Coincidentally, I am getting some stock FJTT UCA's for free. These wouldn't help anything would they? They're the same as 4R parts, right?

I have never heard of a spacer lift cause this type of problems.

I have had a 2.5 daystar lift and I had no problems with alignment or any wandering of the Runner at high speed.

In fact I know of a bunch with 2.5 spacer lifts and non have had issues.

FJ lift as in swapping out your stock for a set of stock FJ shocks and springs?

1/2 inch spacer as in leveling only?

Mine did not wander after the lift. It was the same as stock. I would have them recheck the alignment and retorque all the bolts.

You probably lost a little caster with the lift... decreased caster will contribute to that instability. I'm running the same set-up as you are and only noticed a slight difference after a very thorough alignment. What are your final alignment numbers?

I'm running the Cornfed 3/2 lift and I do notice a little bit of wander at highway speeds. I just chaulk it up to having lifted rig.
