Trying out partsouq.com ... will let you know if good or bad...

I needed some parts for my 4th gen and found as site that was much cheaper than anywhere else.

Rear Covers for roof rack part numbers 6349435021 and 6349335021.

They retail for $84.39 each.

Most other web sites were about $67.

the price at partsouq.com is $39.45

Too good to be true? I guess I'll see.

The web site states they are a wholesaler out of the UAE.

A google search didn't bring up much on the site, but I did find some international forums with a post or two that was positive, and the members posting seemed to have a decent history on the forums.

FedEx international was $24, with a claimed shipping of 3-7 days.

They only accept paypal.

I'll post back to let everyone know if I got the parts OK,
if I had problems,
or if I got taken for a ride.

My total order, including shipping is for 103.72.
Most other places would have been about $140.
The lowest I found on ebay was about $125 total.

P.S. -- No affiliation, and I'm not trying to spam. I honestly ordered, and will honestly report back, good or bad. The low, low price caused me to search, but not finding anything bad about them (admittedly, only a few good things, but they appeared to be legit to me), made me decide to give it a try. We'll see.

So my experience was good!

My reply is a little late... but my experience with the vendor was good.

FedEx contacted me after about two or three days, they needed some paperwork (either an invoice, or the bill of lading... I don't recall).

I emailed partsouq.com who let me know that it was available on their website, and also informed me that it was attached to the box itself... as they usually ship internationally.

I uploaded the documents to a website provided by FedEx, and had the parts a few days later. Overall, it was about a week, IIRC, and the parts were packed well and in perfect condition.

Overall, I'd give partsouq an A+. Also, the paperwork WAS attached to the box, just as the vendor stated.

That's my experience.

How much was the shipping? They seem to be located in Dubai I guess? But from what I see they ship fairly fast.

I am extremely surprised by how well their website and availability is; I'm tempted to try getting some parts from them for future projects just on price alone.

Here's what I got and what I paid:

The shipping wasn't bad, considering that it was sent via a FedEx package service from the other side of the world.

Moreover, other sites show the part lists for $85.22. One site wants $65.57 for each part, with $19.95 shipping for a total of $151.09, while an ebay seller wants $69.19 for each part with free shipping for a total of $138.38.

So I feel that I saved between $35 to almost $50 over some of the other discount options available. By my math that's about 1/3 less than some of the other discounted options. :biggrin1:

Yes, they are in the UAE, located near Dubai. According to Wikipedia,

Sharjah is the third largest city (after Dubai and Abu Dhabi) in the United Arab Emirates.

And it is part of the Dubai MSA.

That shipping cost isn't too bad at all considering international shipping and so on. Most of the results on Google from other forum members show good experiences also.
