Trying to figure out if LC rims will work with Tundra brakes?

I would like to upgrade my brakes to the 231 tundra calipers but I am trying to figure out if my set of Land Cruiser 80 rims will fit over them? I have the style that uses the acorn lug nuts if there's any difference. I'm struggling as I've searched some threads and found answers ranging anywhere from needing no spacers to ½" spacers. I've also heard that some people grind down their lc rims from the inside which I don't want to do. Can anyone tell me what the minimum size spacer is needed to clear the 231 calipers. 0" ¼" ⅜" ½" ??

Also Is there any downsides to using spacers? I recognize that the slide on kind can be a problem cause then you have less threads for your lugs to screw onto. I'm not too worried, I already have ARP extended studs on my runner.

Rim dimensions would help, you didn't specify which LC rims you have

The rims are 16 x 8. I'm pretty sure zero offset

I don't know what year land cruiser they are from
