Hi all,

I've accessed the info for the V6 '04 4Runner at alldata.com but this list is worthless because I can't access any additional information pertaining to which vehicles these pertain to. (i.e. VIN , build date, etc.) Here's what I found

4. NV003-04 MAR 04 Interior - 2nd Row Passenger Side Seat Noise

14. PG005-03 AUG 03 Wheels/Tires - Spare Tire Carrier Operation
15. SS003R-02 JUN 03 Antitheft - Diagnostic Tester Immobilizer Functions

Does anyone have any additional info on these available somewhere?

Also, if some of these pertain to my vehicle, do I just take it to the dealer and have them check out say # 4? (Sorry for the noob response)

thanks for your help

Most of those look to be service procedure updates, and not actually problems with the vehicle.

If #4 is what you are after, just unlatch the seat and wrap a couple wraps (about 2) of electrical tape around the latch striker (u-shaped loop) that is mounted to the body. That fixed the problem, and saved me a trip to the dealer for a two minute fix.

I like to avoid the dealer trips unless it's major stuff, and then I usually have them apply any TSB's or recalls at the same time.

Just trying to keep tabs on any issues going on. I agree about the dealer contacting you. I used to own an Acura and they sent me info regarding a catalytic converter issue replaced. Thanks for the info

I dropped my 04 4Runner off at the dealer this AM for the sulphur TSB. He said he would pull up any TSBs.

Well, he called me and said nothing came up. After I faxed a copy of the TSB he changed his tune and ordered the parts.

I am saying this to point out that the dealer may not necessarily own up to the fact that TSBs are out there for your vehicle. My service guy told me that they would use the TSBs to fix any REPORTED problems.

What I really would like is a place to access the actual TSB document, because that is the only thing some dealers will honor.

Do a search, as several of the TSB's have been posted here in the past.

Then visit techinfo.toyota.com and sign up for a 1 day subscription ($10). This will give you access to PDFs of all TSB's, Service Manuals, and electrical manuals.

Too bad you were not here a week ago when I had made a post offering to look up tsb's for anyone that needed them before my subscription ran out.

That's just my luck!

Thanks for the info. I have run several searches and only was able to find one TSB doc.

Was just doing a search on the TSB's for my 04 and thought I would post the new list. It has grown a little. :)
