Tube bumper question

Ok, instead of a plate bumper, I was thinking of doing a hybrid. I can get a 20' piece of 1" OD .120 for 37.00. Is 1" too small, or will it be ok with 1/8 plate?

1.75 .120 is the go to size, any bigger or smaller looks goofy.

These. 1.5" minimum. 1.75" is ideal. The point of the bumper is protection. Don't skimp out on 1" and then be left with a damaged front end.

I have the trail gear bumper. And matched my sliders and rear bumper to it. It is 2" and I think it looks just right
