Tube Light Bar for 2015

Years ago a company called Defiant made a light bar that was exactly what I am looking for now. Unfortunately the company is no longer in business. I have looked for over 2 years for something like it.

I don't want bull bar or a hidden behind the grill setup. I just want a bolt-on tube light bar. Does anyone make something like this for a 2015 model?

I am about to give up all hope... tired of looking... any help would be appreciated.

damn you beat me to it [MENTION=149991]White Chocolate[/MENTION] by about an hour! Was just wondering the same thing...

I found this albeit not quite the same thing. I am getting to the point where it might be time to look at getting something fabricated as I am not into the whole light-bar-behind-the-grill thing.

Anyone have any sort of ideas or alternatives to the defiant light bar setup?

They sell the closest thing I have found to a Defiant Light Bar. Unfortunately, they don't yet make one for a 2015. I emailed them about it and they were very helpful and responsive.

No Worries! I haven't seen anything off the shelf either...

Did Apex say they were looking into doing a 2014+ ?

I was looking at a couple of bull bar installation sheets to get ideas - like this one here - and was thinking that might not be a bad place to mount one from. Another option would be use something like what [MENTION=133346]BradBrad619[/MENTION] has whipped up, see here and see if it can be adapted to a tube style mount.

Maybe we could up with a design and get some made up for anyone else interested?

That apex bar looks hideous to me lol. Figuring out a setup like the difiant bar wouldn't be terribly hard, my main concern would be the mounting method and mounting points. Also, slight modifications to the bumper might be needed to mount it.

Here is the reply that I got from Apex....

I don't currently have one that I sell. The 5th gen has a very different bumper mount system and I haven't had a chance to develop one. It is for sure on my radar, I just don't have one now.

I am going to develop some stealth behind the grill mounts in January. They will be very different than the few offerings that are out there. They will hold an LED in the small upper grill and the lower as well and bolt on in a way that won't interfere with hidden winches.

I will have the 5th gen handy in January and I can look at it then for the tube light bar.

Sorry I don't know if anyone who makes them. Let me see what I can do, I might be able to push my 5th gen build up sooner.

I was initially thinking of perhaps a two piece mount: the mounting "pillars" similar to the mounts you have have now (oriented sideways with two mounting holes) and a "receiver/arm" piece that would be attached to the pillars that would be the front mounting tube and arms that go into the recessed grill area.

I have a doodle i was playing around with that I can scan and attach to see if it makes sense...
 
if your not set on it being "out" of the front there are also other options for the lower grill area. Attached is what I have.
