Tuesday Gas Prices

Unleaded regular is about $1.77 to $1.81 in our market. The "local experts" claim we will be below $1.50 by the end of the year, so we can only hope that they are correct.
Diesel fuel, though cheaper now than it was, is still running about $2.69 to $2.77 per gallon. This is odd, since it is much cheaper to refine diesel fuel than gasoline.

P.S. Could it be that "talking about" domestic drilling caused a dip in prices? The same thing happened back in 1986 when gasoline got as low as 69 cents! OPEC wants to keep us addicted to their "black crack" that we know as oil.

I paid $1.68 for 85 yesterday and the fillup was under $27.
When you 4th gen guys use the higher octane do you notice an increase in MPGs with 91? Powerwise the only way you'd really notice is run it at the strip or get a dyno since I'd be curious how much of a diff it really makes since butt dynos seem to be affected by people justifying the extra money they spend like on throttle body spacers which don't do anything but people swear they feel the added power.
I have heard that running premium with the 4th gen V8s isn't a nessesity but there is a bit of a real power gain from running 91 or higher.

I was making A LOT more money in the stock market when the gas prices were a lot higher.
My portfolios were also higher as well.
Filling up for one hundred bucks was nothing when the stocks were sixty to eighty percent higher.
These gas prices will not last for long and it bodes well to those who buy the very inexpensive and on sale oil company and energy stocks like NOV, APC, COP.
