Tundra big brake upgrade EBC

Has anyone out there tried different EBC rotor and pad combinations? I'm thinking about what stage I should get since it goes up till stage 9 but I'm not sure if they will be too grabby. Any help?

i have EBC black rotors and EBC Green stuff pads.. they're are great!! no problems so far...

i've had them on for about 4 months... and they stop soon good. any TBU will do you wonders.....

ditto on [MENTION=102606]infamousRNR[/MENTION] setup. I have the same thing and they are great. The green stuff pads grab really really well

Ive been running the green stuff since last may. they do grab good, but are dusty compared to stock

Greenstuff is really the correct compound for a road/offroad vehicle. The higher grade compounds do not work properly until heated up--unless you're racing to every stoplight and you don't mind your brakes feeling like paper when you come off the highway, stick with the street compound.

Common misconception that "race" compounds actually give better stopping power. Really, the main difference is that they can withstand a lot more heat, but also require more heat to operate properly. I personally have had a really bad glazing scenario with yellowstuff, so I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole.

Don't waste your $ on the "dust free" 7000 series greenstuffs,they're just as dusty as the standard 6000 greenstuff.

I am having the same issue. I found these and wanna put them on my '02 but I can't find much information on them. I would prefer to know that they fit before I buy them.

Guys, try the different online and local salvage places.got mine from an 02 sequoia for $45 for everything.

I was looking at a set like that last week wondering if they will fit on my 4R. Tell you what - buy them and send them to me. I will find out for us.

I know everyone looks for the best price to quality ratio on the TBU because it can get expensive. Get whatever quality parts you can afford but spend the money on OEM pads. My last set lasted 133,000 miles & minimal brake dust. You will save money in the long run.

Got mine on Amazon without a core charge, actually bought all of it (remaned calipers, rotors and pads) from amazon for around 300.

Way cheaper than anywhere else I have seen.

This is great info! I am running the stock sized PowerStop pads and have really liked the performance, nice little improvement over stock.

But now that I put my 285s on, the first thing I noticed was "Wow! this things is quite a bit harder to stop than before!"
