Tundra brake swap question

After driving in the Smoky Mtns I would like to do the Tundra brake swap. I looked up the year on Rock Auto, but the ask if it's a 6 or 8 cyl. Does that make a difference? How do I know if they are 231s?

Just did this swap myself, Monday.

Casting #S13WE is for the 199mm calipers
Casting #13WL is for the 231mm calipers

Make sure you get the right pads as well.

4.7" plate length is for the 199mm calipers
5.3" plate length is for the 231mm calipers

Not sure if engine size is a factor.

Just tell them you are needing brakes for a 2005 tundra, v-8 4x4. That should be all you need to get the correct parts (231mm).

howdy on ebay brake-overstock sells the complete kit for the upgrade, l did it on my 4runner oh do change the brake lines, with stainless steel brake lines!
