Tundra Brake Upgrade - replacing front pads

I had performed the Tundra Brake Upgrade back in 2016, shortly after I had initially purchased my T4R. I had used the following kit from Amazon that's not available anymore:

The calipers and rotors are still good but pads are starting to wear thin but since they were part of a kit, I'll need some assistance finding compatible pads that would work with the calipers I already have.

Is there a way to tell which pads I need from just looking at the pictures or do I need to contact Callahan to get the right pads?

Any help is much appreciated!

Are those pads in the image actually what came with that kit? They don’t look like any 13WL pads I’ve ever seen. That being said the only pads I can see that match those even remotely are a pair of centric brand on Rockauto but they are listed for the 13WE calipers. There should be holes in the pads that allow the pins to slide through at the top but maybe I’m wrong?

From what I remember, they looked exactly like what's shown on the pictures. I'll replace the whole thing if I must, but just doing the pads is preferable. I'll see if I have the box that the pads came in in the garage somewhere. I remember putting my old pads in there way back when.

Your calipers in the photo look totally fine to me. Im just very confused on the pads. If you go on rockauto any pads designated with the "WL" marking will work for you. Plenty of cheap options as well as some better brands to choose from. Maybe someone with more knowledge than myself has an explanation as to why those pads look so weird

Any pads for 13WL calipers will work. To make it easier look for brake pads for 2006 Toyota Tundra. They only came with 13WL calipers.

Ah yes those are the correct pads. They must have just been showing a generic image

I bought my pads and rotors from Toyota. Calipers off Rockauto.com. The TBU rotors from Toyota were cheaper than aftermarket, worth a look.

Any pads for 13WL calipers will work. To make it easier look for brake pads for 2006 Toyota Tundra. They only came with 13WL calipers.

This project is now complete. I stopped at Advance Auto Parts and picked up a pair of ceramic brakes for 2006 Toyota Tundra and they fit just fine.

Glad you found a set that worked great. Just for future jobs, the old pads still had plenty of life as the pad had plenty of material and the center groove was still intact. I realize you might have also been just looking to replace the kit pads anyway.

Yeah the pads in the Amazon picture were a generic set. Looked like Tacoma 4X2 pads. Any Tundra WL pad will work but I recommend ultra premium ones like Adaptive One from NAPA. I personally use Toyota OEM on mine. No noise, no dust, longest life, most surface area.

Like gamefreakgc said, those pads had a lot of life left. Industry standard at the shops I've worked at is 3mm or less on the lowest front pad needs replacement. Amazon sells brake pad thickness gauges if you don't have one already.
