Tundra Brakes Upgrade

Does anyone have any input on refurbished tundra brakes upgrade either the 199mm or 231mm for a 3rd Gen? the brake kits that are being sold, are sold separately and not a kit. The "Big Brake Kit" upgrade runs like $2200-whereas the refurbished totals for the Front brake kits is around $550...anyone have any idea on the refurbished? How reliable and safe they are? any advise and comments would be appreciated..thanks
