tundra caliper upgrade

hey saw a thread on here today talking about the tundra brake caliper upgrade. whats the difference between the tundras and 4runners. im definetley curious about this because i keep seizing calipers. any idea on if they bolt right up too.

In the last year or so, there was a good write up in 4WD Toyota Owner magazine. 8-10 page article. Not sure of the generation there were upgrading.

If you have the 17" wheels, why not just upgrade to the sport/limited brakes. The rotor is larger than the tundra brakes.

Tundra rotor is 318.7mmx28 and the Gen 4 brakes are 338mmx27.5.

So you need to replace all 4 if you do the sport upgrade? Will it matter if you have the smaller SR5 rotors/brakes in the back?

Good thinking but IIRC they all use the same rear brakes, 12.3" I think.

In the 'old days' a front brake upgrade could mess with the proportioning. With the modern systems it compensates for the difference easily.

And in the old days, that didn't keep people from changing stuff up, not that I'm for changing and upsetting balance.
