Actually the Tundra diesel is a very real thing. It's been released for a while that they will be using a Cummins diesel in the 2016 Tundra. If sales in the U.S. with that motor are good, Toyota will restart it's work on it's own diesel motor.

I would probably buy one if they came out with a good diesel. Just add a bigger fuel tank and a 6.5' bed crew-max option and it would be almost perfect.
