Tundra has VVT V8!

Scanning this site, I didn't see this mentioned (easy to miss around here). The Tundra will come in 05 with a verible valve timing version of the 4.7. I'm wondering if there's any word of it getting into the 4Runner?

Checking the Toyota site, it says the new VVT 4.7 will produce 282 hp (up from 235), and 5 ft. lbs. more torque - and the mileage is up significantly to 24 highway!

This makes this engine a serious contender with larger V8's (although it's torque I'm more interested in for towing).

Thanks for the links to those threads! So I assume that it has been 100% confirmed that the VVT V8 will be on the 05 Runner?

While it gets substantially more ponies, the torque stays about the same. For pulling a heavier trailer (4,500 lbs), I'm wondering if the VVT would be much of an advantage - since torque is probably more important than HP in towing.
