Tundra Icon CO's on 4runner

Hey guys, I'm still trying to piece together my lift. I got LC 8 wraps for the rear, and undecided on the rear shocks, but these popped up in my parents area. The guy states they fit 3rd gens, but on Icon's website theres a different SKU#. I emailed them yesterday and haven't heard back yet Does anybody know if these will fit my 2000 sport?

They will fit. Remember that the Stock tundra TRD coils lift the 4runner like 2-3 inches or something. So these being set at 2.5" lift for a TUNDRA means that you will have like 3.5"+ lift from these. Being that they are adjustable, you should be able to set them lower though.

Correct me if Im wrong anyone, I have no experience with Tundra stuff. Just what I read.

Don't you have to rotate the top mounts to make them fit on a 4runner? And it would be advisable to set them low to not over lift and kill your CV's. Plus you can get a front suspension for a lot cheaper than that.

Wow I didnt even look at the price, just get brand new toytec coilovers for less than that. And you will KNOW those work.

I dont think they will be a direct fit. When you use the tundra struts on the 4runners, I was under the influence you need to use the factory 4runner top plates, just like you do when using the OME struts. I inquired on some KING coilovers that were off of the same generation Tundra. I called KING and they said they are pretty much the same as their 4runner ones exept for the top hat. Icon may be different but I doubt it. I know that if they do require different top hats, Icon would probably be able to sell you the 4runner ones.

thanks for the input guys, I just figure if i can talk to him down to $650 or so that'd be a great deal for a set of Icons. But yeah, 5100 adjustable with eibach/toytech springs is what I'm probably going to go for.

I was born and raised in San Jose, went to college at Berkeley and just moved to LA for work. I'm usually back in the bay once a month though and wish I couldve made the wrench day.

Yeah I would suggest going bili's/toytec over the Icon's just because you know they will work and ease.

Wish I could have made it myself... Yeah I was born and raised in Santa Cruz and moved back after college for good. We will have a wheeling meet soon enough.

I. Know someone that had tundra versions of the ToyTec coilovers. The only problem was that the coils were 700# spring rate. 4runners run 550# - 600#. Other than that I think they bolt right up.
