Tundra TRD springs on Tacoma Billy 5100 D558

Smarter minds than mine will have to answer most of that for you. I do know that DownSouth emailed me today about the fronts:

"These shocks are indeed currently on nation wide back order and they are
due in at the end of March or 1st part of April per Bilstein."

So if you do get that set it may be a while before they get the front shocks back in and work through any backlog they have.

I'm doing 5100s all around as well but with a 4Runner 5100 in the rear with 906s. The exact same setup as Speedy actually

But can you use the tundra rear bilstein 5100 from that set of 4 on a 97 ? Still havent gotten a straight answer. I read his review, his part numbers are different then that set but yet he says he bought it from there from that set ? I'm confused !!! Because 4 shocks under 400$ isn't bad.

I would guess that they are the same. Bilstein changed their part numbering system last year. Rickashay's post is the old number schema.

Edit: Here's a page that lists both the new part number 24-100144 and the old F4-BE5-A014-H7.

Did more research and figured out, stock rear tundra 5100 will not fit. You must press out the eye bushing from the tundra rear shocks and replace it with
Daystar KU08007 $10.00 for 4 Bushings & $5.80 USPS - $15.80 : Sonoran Steel, Sonoran Steel Custom Metal Fabrication L.L.C. Custom Toyota Truck Parts

Can anyone tell me how to achieve 3" lift with tundra trd 5100? Spacer ?

Any reason why you're not looking into the Tundra 5100's (B-6929)? They have 5 adjustment settings, vs the Tacoma's 3 settings. The Tacoma springs are the exact same as the ones for our 4runners (D558). You can get both of these from Toytec. Even if you click on the shocks for the 4runner, you're taken to the Tacoma ones.

The D558's should work no problem on ours? Same as the Tundra one's but with 3 perches instead of 5? Do you know how well They'll deal with extra weight of a front bumper? I'm looking at picking up a used set on TW.

Lots of people run them. The Tacoma's are the exact same thing we run.
