Tuscaloosa 4th Gen Meetup & Poser Photo-Op

Yesterday jaybird93000 and I installed OME 885s, Superflex, and 5100s on his rig and we used the opportunity to get a few members together for some photos. There aren't many good trails in Tuscaloosa and some of the members were short on time, so if you're looking some good trail action I'm sorry but this will disappoint you. This was just a meet & greet with some photos and a meal.

I'm sure neighbors thought some cult gathering was taking place

Despite being on mostly flat ground, the inevitable happened...

Adam got stuck... Apparently his t-case wouldn't shift.

We told him he needed to dig the rear tire out, but he was already busy digging at something else...

So I, the smallest 4Runner there, hooked up a tow strap... Which was glorious because less than 3 minutes prior he was talking shit about mine being 2WD.

It was nice to meet everyone... well maybe just t4rbama since I lifted all the other trucks in the pictures. Maybe we can do it again some time and actually hit some trails!

Woa no need to get hostile on me, I can't help the fact the dam thing wouldnt shift into 4wd. Just add it to the expense list. Good pictures though man

Nice shots! I'm not too far North up in here in Huntsville. You guys who are into mountain biking (and anyone else of course) should come up to Huntsville sometime...great trails and awesome views.

@t4rbama, are you running 34s (guessing 285/75s)? At first it looked like you just had a smaller lift but then I realized it was the larger tires. Ha. Any rubbing at that height?

Yeah definitely, It was good to finally meet everyone in person. I know i'm not all that active on the boards but i'll try to be better about it. This forum has been good to me in my many 4runner questions/mods.

I don't get much rubbing at all actually and I've got room to crank up the front c/os another inch or so after adding the sw bumper since it weighed it down a bit. I did remove all the mudflaps and trimmed the fender well lining, probably a body mount chop in the near future for me as well as a body lift.
I will say though, I haven't had near the rubbing i thought I would. I'll have to check again for sure but I'm sitting about 42" in the rear and 40" up front

Well I didn't mean anything looked "off" about the lack of fender gap... I actually think it looks great as is. I was considering a bodylift myself but have decided against one for now as I don't really need it and prefer my lowered stance now (was 40" F and R with 285s but now down to 38.25" in the front). If I were you and could clear them 100% with only the BMC, I would leave it at that. They look great either way though.

Wow I didn't realize there were that many modded 4r's in Tuscaloosa! I was on my way back from campus today and I saw a badass silver one with a shrockworks bumper I think with four duallys on it and some off road tires(I was going fast so it was hard to tell) and it looked great so I figured they may be on this site but I couldn't find him. Any of y'all know of one that fits this description?

If it wasn't t4rbama, I have a feeling you're talking about another guy that I've seen around.

His bumper was built the same guy who built [MENTION=72620]A_HuL[/MENTION] 's bumper but with a full brush guard, matching rear bumper too. He's not on the forum but I met him at a red light a couple weeks ago, have been seeing him around for a while. He also has 4 big square LEDs on there but they aren't Duallys, too big.

Who knows when we'll have another meetup.. would be cool to do though.

Sounds closer to being him. I'm pretty sure they were square but I would have to see it again to be sure. Maybe one day I'll catch a picture of it
