Twin ARB Compressor mount location

Has anyone mounted a twin ARB compressor in front of the air box? I pulled out the bracket that holds the power steering reservoir and placed the compressor in there. I would have to fabricate a bracket, and I don't know how i'd be able to get to the bolt heads to attach it. I think I would also have to relocate the PS revision. I like the idea of leaving the area behind the air box available for a possible dual battery setup down the road.

Thoughts about this mounting location? Too much in the "Splash Zone" being so close to the front grill?

thanks SSt4r, some good ideas in that thread. I still haven't seen a build with the compressor mounted in front of the air filter box.

grapemilk where did you end up installing the compressor? Just ordered mine in the current group buy and debating where to install. Thank you.

I ended up sticking my compressor behind the air box. Ultimately I think it's more protected from the elements (water intrusion) in that location.
bandi makes a sweet mount for the 4th and 5th gens.

So you decided to ditch the dual battery setup?

Yes. (but understand a smaller battery can fit in front of the air box)

Oh, didn't know that and haven't seen that configuration yet. Need to do some more research. I was leaning toward placing it in the rear cargo storage area. This tid bit might change that. Thank you!

Here is the shrockworks mount for the second battery, it provides a mount for the AC line and the PS reservoir...

 Sorry, I did not realize this was posted in the 4th gen. section...

On the 4th, there is not enough room for a tank... only the compressor... as there is not enough height... :(

I think also that your secondary battery tray is for 5th gens only as well, correct? I intend to relocate my PS reservoir and mount my secondary in the same location, but I think I'll have to fab my own mount. Unless anyone knows of someone making them for our 4th gens...
