twisted dipstick

i went to check my oil level for the first time on my truck and noticed a single twist in the center of the dipstick, not just the tip like you see on some. this is from an 04. can anyone confirm if this is normal or not? btw despite the twist my oil level looked healthy...maybe too healthy if the twist wasnt in the stick.

Mine has a big twist in it :frisky:.....but my dipstick is straight, I have a V8, is your's a V8 or V6?
