Ha! Yeah its tough to find a hill around here at times. The truck is looking great but I'm gonna be super bummed if you can't use the rack.

It will get used. I just need to paint it still. It's been sitting with only primer all this time. Should get it on in the next month though.

Finally got the truck back into the garage to start working in it again. However in the mean time I've been updating some of my ChinkyDinky tools with better quality stuff.
My existing Kobalt toolbox and fridge. I was running out of space in the Kobalt and was looking at the 44" General toolbox at harbor freight.
And my Craigslist score this afternoon. It needs a wipe down to clean it up and it needs a new lock as the shop I got it from lost the key. I paid a little more than the harbor freight one but I really like this style box and it adds a lot of storage to my existing Kobalt. My only problem is the orange color makes me look like a Gator fan. LOL

Also got in a few new tools this week and will be updating my box and parting some stuff out for my truck tool kits too.
I returned the Wright socket set as I found some issues with it and it was the only one the place had and they were no longer a dealer. So I ordered some Williams US made sockets and ratchets that are inbound. Got the craftsman us wrench sets for cheap via a tip to a deal at Sears and they were USA made which is awesome for the price.
Anyway, will be doing some more updates to get rid of my older cheap china made tools and replace with some nicer USA or similar quality tools now that I'm using them a lot more.

If you find old tools that were made in Japan, IE the 1980's those are typically pretty good too.
I have found Taiwan made stuff is a lot better then China made stuff, for those one in a blue moon items like the 35mm socket.
Also OTC makes nice stuff I think too.

Thanks Steve. Most of my tools are older items made in USA or 10 year old Kobalt made by Williams. However I've noticed the china made tools I've picked up along the way have really been poor quality and the results show in their use. They were typically picked up spur of moment when trying to get something done quick.
Of all the local import stuff I looked at the Kobalt Taiwan stuff looked the best. But I decided it was not much more to get online and buy Williams, SK, Armstrong, or other USA made tools so that is what I've been trying to do other than the Bahco made Channellock wrenches made in Spain and the German made Wera and Knipex pliers.
Anyway, I'm going to keep adding some nice sockets and ratchets, and will also add another nice set of usa made wrenches and will start putting some nice vehicle kits together too with the extras.

Cool, I agree the USA stuff is the best if you can find it.

Channelocks! Made in meadville pa, just up the road from me. Great quality tools right there man.

I agree, real USA Channel Locks are great, I have at least 6 pairs from a huge one to a really small one. Great tools!
I have a set of Craftsman channel lock copies that I have not seen for 10+ years, I like the blue handles better.

Yeah man. I saw yours when you got it. Can't remember what you were shopping for but remember seeing you snagged the box instead. I love this one and the only way I could have made it better is if it were yellow or blue to match my room better.

Need to haul some pine straw bales so I figured it was time to get my Whitson roof rack mounted finally. It's only been sitting for around a year waiting for top coat paint. Laying down the first coat of semi-flat krylon rust tough on top of the same brand primer I put on it last year.
