I let it go for $11,000.

I agreed to get the interior and radio finished up at this price point as well so it went to the new owner complete and ready to go. The new owner had it inspected at a local Firestone and they gave it a clean inspection and safety check and only recommended replacing the rear brake drum cylinders.

Probably could have held out for more but who knows how long it would take to find that buyer. Anyway now I can focus on the new one and there's room for all the vehicles in the garage and driveway now.
 
That's a solid price, especially being in Florida, where the market isn't super high like the bay area, PNW and Colorado. Congrats and I've been watching your 5th gen thread. Great work so far and I'd sell my 3rd gen for a 5th gen in a heartbeat.

Checking in with the 97

Txbonds,
Truck is running great. I have done some work to it but I am not great at stopping to post pictures, and I am always in a rush to get truck back together as it. Is my main driver.
Replaced rear wheel cylinders, master cylinder, and rear drums (had some waves in the originals, got a good deal).
Added the hella lights and some rear lights that were a perfect fit on existing bumper.
Installed a cage behind rear seat and using MOLLE surplus pouches I got it set up for hauling just about anything I might need.
I went ahead and did the timing belt early, water pump (parts you through in when I bought it). Installed cb
Thought I had a heater coil issue but was just the hoses to and from....that's about it. Been busy, daughter named the truck 'George' so thought you might want to see what he is up too these days.

Rear cargo area. Have plans to mount a steal box underneath (box is built) where spare would go but haven't done it yet.

Before you deleted the thread, did you explain why you went to all that effort only to sell it just as soon as you finished? Reading it from start to finish now is super confusing. I wish more than 10% of the photos had been restored too :(

Just wanted to say I read through your entire thread, and WOW. Next time you start on a vehicle and want to sell let me know. Your attention to detail is 2nd to none.
Great thread, great read, and a great vehicle. New owner got a steal no matter how much he paid!
 
Dang dude....

I've read through this about a year ago.. And took 2 days to do it again.... Those hubs sound like fun to take apart and put back together....

On a lighter note... There are a ton of pictures that still Do Not work...

Anyway you could look into that?
