Well we did a tune up today, and gapped the valves and now there is a ticking when she warms up. We changed the oil checkedthe timing and got a new valve cover gasket. I cleaned and installed a old k&n air filter I had layin around. Everything went well but there is a horrible ticking. My cam and rockers just might need replacing. 240k miles is quite a bit. Any suggestions are welcome.

Get that stereo installed, and turn it up until the ticking goes away...

Oh it is in. I got that done right after the locker. I also got a replacement bumper in the front to help when I hit stuff.

Double check that your crank was at tdc and your cam gear was in the 11:30 position when you did your valve lash.

It was we made sure to check all that. Since the weather has wormed up the ticking has gone away. We'll see if it comes back in the winter.
