U-joint OEM part #

Can you folks help me. I've been doing some searching. I normally go through Camelback or my local dealer for such things, but it will take them just as long to find these ###. Gonna start with the 2 after the double cardon on the rear. Thanks everyone.

2 whats? Also need to know year, engine, 2/4 wd, trans.(probably makes no difference but I'd rather do it right) Here is the exploded parts pic from my '99:

Thanks guys. Sorry TheDurk. My '98 Limited V6 4WD. I guess I should have said one after the double cardon (at rear diff). It seems we're getting somewhere with the PN's. It seems to be 04371-60070. We can't find my chirping noise. No one seems to be able to. My buddy said to get some u-joints and we'll start one at a time from the rear forward until we find it. I see that LowRange sells the Matsuba u joint for $30. Camelback is listing $51 for that PN. I appreciate the help.

You confused me with the 'after the double cardan'. The double cardan is just two u-joints with a center yoke. So the after didn't make sense to me. Yes, that's the number.
 
Has anyone found out the exact part number for the rearmost U-Joint closest to the rear diff? I called my local Toyota Parts dealer and they gave me 3 different part numbers.

Anyone know the difference between these or know which one is correct?

I believe the two rears are the same. Matsuba Stock Replacement Toyota/Lexus Universal Joint (U-Joint). I believe these work with the rear. You might need to contact low range to double verify.
 
Thanks JayRolla for the quick reply. I always read that Toyota OEM U-Joints are far superior to the aftermarket options so I'm gonna stick with OEM for this one.
I called the parts department again and gave him the last 8 of my VIN so he could look up the specific part # for my vehicle. He told me it was #04371-60060. I ordered off amazon https://www.amazon.com/Toyota-04371-60060-Universal-Joint/dp/B00KTKCYSC Hopefully they send me the correct part. The dealer wanted $85 for the part that would take a couple days to be in stock, while Amazon came out to $61 after shipping. Should have it next week.

FWIW I have a 2000 Toyota 4Runner Limited 3.4L V6 4wd

Hope this can help someone else in need of part #'s

Per what I researched these are OEM. Its who made them for toyota.

Koyo's came from the factory. Toyota uses Matsuba as the replacement now. There are old threads on this issue.

No need to spend the doe at the dealer for this one. Low Range Off Road, Rock Auto is fine etc...

Replaced with OEM and big reduction in highway vibes. Seems the indexing of snap ring thickness to cap groove is critical to get near FSM spec of 0-0.05mm freeplay. Am I missing something here?

Yea, in my search of this site you were the only one you didn't like the Matsuba. Maybe you ordered the wrong size/part #?

I never purchased u-joints for my truck. I decided that upgrading to a custom driveshaft & going with the bigger & more common 1310 u joints would be stronger & cheaper than staying with Toyota. Tom Woods Gold Seal 1310 u-joints are only $20, lifetime warranty & they warranty any damage to the DS too.

Koyo is the OEM U-joint.
I think the same U-joint came for hilux, 4runner, taco etc.,. I used a 3rd gen runner U joint for a 1990 hilux.

it's frustrating. amazon is telling me that no single one of these part numbers fits the 3rd gen.

I'm thinking it makes more sense to trust the dealership and purchase one of these anyway since they say it is the correct part. amazon has guided me wrong in u joints in the past based on their automotive matching. I'm not sure where their data is from, but it seems they are missing some things.

Don't trust Amazon for ANY technical information, automotive or not... And many of the "OEM" parts on there are fakes too.

Avoid the U-joints that have the zerk fitting in the cup, D-shaft was balanced with zerk in center of spider.
Found out the hard way.
