UCA kit incomplete?

Yo guys, I went to install my toytec ultimate with LR UCA's and got rummaging through the pieces sent to me. Truck jacked up, new rubbers put on the stabilizer and steering rack... then got to looking at my UCA kit parts. Even numbers of everything except two pieces.

Plannin on sending an e-mail to Toytec this evening and getting one overnighted. What shoud I call this thing. I only got "Steering knuckle Upper Ball joint Spindle taper reciver thingy."

same thing happened to me but i didnt notice until i had everything torn apart at a self serve garage.... talk about a dissapointment and alot of wasted money for me :bash:

you can call toytec and they will ship a new one
they shipped me TWO new ones so i have an EXTRA i can send to you if you need one STAT

you can call toytec and they will ship a new one
they shipped me TWO new ones so i have an EXTRA i can send to you if you need one STAT

I could use one STAT, but given your distance, I can probably get one around the same timeframe as Toytec. Honestly, if it's not working this weekend, it will be a whole nother week before I can get it on.:moping: Thanks for the offer though..:cheers:

I would have to say the UCA was the hardest part of the entire lift install

My truck is still off because i havent done alignment, got LBJ going in Sunday morning the alignment next week (been down since 12/26)

Yeah, when I saw it was gone, I called the number... not open on Sat. apparently. Also tried SPC performance (manufacturer) with the same result. I will send an e-mail and call first thing Monday morning.
Ground shipping?!? yikes,:fear: glad I didn't go ahead with a partial build which was on the table for discussion...

I didn't get my Light Racing UCAs from toytec but I didn't get the metal sleeves or those washers in my box. I reused my stock washers and it seems the sleeves may have already been in the arms. I didnt notice a loose fit though. Wondering now if I got the older unimproved light racing arms that ive read had issues with bushing failure. :noidea:

I may regret it, but I went with the OME 890's. I do a lot of highway travel to oilfield roads and really wanted a plush ride. I will likely add airbags as I tow a boat and toy trailers.

Yeah, you guys may have a different style. But reusing the old washers and spacers is fine as long as the ball joint you got had all the right pieces. --Also, seems like I could have used eight washers? We'll see, I can at least run to the store and buy THOSE if I need.

That's awesome man. Toytec told me that I needed UCA's for that lift but my buddy running a similar setup said they are just trying to get more $$$ and that its not needed. Thoughts?

Also you wont regret it man thats a good setup. I just looked up how far you live from Lex and its a 2 hour drive man. But we still should get together sometime and wheel.

Man, there are people all over this site that run the original UCA's. My understanding is that it has to do with the width of your tires, the backspacing of your wheels and how close your tire/wheel choice runs to your UCA's at full droop. A combination of these factors will make it rub or not rub.
My choice was made by the need for positive caster needed to re-align the wheels to stock specs. As many miles as I run on the roads to get where I'm going, I wanted it to drive like it already does. If I'm not making this thing more capable for my needs, then I'm just ruining a good truck. My thoughts.

You just need the 4 (2 for each side). Its a single super long bolt with a washer on each end.

Thanks for clarifying that for me. And you have a good reason with the amount of driving you say you do. I've had my truck 1 year and 2 months and only gone 12K and I don't do much highway driving anymore. And cool man give me a shout when you come up this way. There is a kick ass bike trail here if you want to hit that up sometime this spring too. However, I dont drink but I'll get crazy on some yoohoo! And we'll get some Toyota dudes together for a ride.

That's a big can do, I've only ridden Veterans park like 5 or 6 times, so I'm always stoked to bust that roller coaster. C-ville has 25 miles of trail that we try to maintain, but the horses.... yeesh.:violin: I'll save this for another forum.

UPATE- Dylan at Toytec hooked it up right. I called him 8:00 a.m. Mountain time and got him promptly. Said he had been on forum patrol and saw the thread... Shipped out today and will be here before the weekend. What better customer service could you ask for (just in case he reads this) except for some stickers and a t-shirt...:hungry:
