UCA Poly bushing squeaking - could this be the reason?

Currently in the process of replacing my poly bushing. Taking them apart I noticed something interesting. The inside of the bushing that has grooves cut into it seemed to be we greased and moving. The outside that's in contact with the UCA looked dry and I think is the likely cause for the brutal squeaking noise I've been having. That outside portion does not have grooves cut into it like the inside of the bushing does. What do you guys think? Would cutting small grooves on the outside to match the inside help keep it lubricated over time?

Not the answer you're looking for but how long did you have them installed for?

Approx 20k miles. Could probably reuse them, they're still in good shape.
