UCA question

so while i was wheeling in Moab i noticed a clunk in the font end. Turns out somehow the uca mounting bolt (the long one that goes through the UCA and frame) came loose. i also noticed that i could wiggle the uca slightly from side to side making me think the bushings were worn out. i decided to loosen the other side to compare (the bushings are only a few months old) and i found that i can wiggle that side a little also. when things are tightened up it doesn't move but I'm wondering if thats normal or not...?

brand? who installed? etc etc etc.

They might have a little 'spring' to them, after you torque to spec it will pull the looseness out...if it is front to back.
If its up and down loose...maybe bushings? Augured out the bolt holder? At the frame...

That’s exactly what I’m worried about. When tight it feels ok but I hear a clunk once in a while now and I’m not sure what it is. I’ve also installed aluminum skids so maybe the frame is flexing and they are making noise, I dunno.

Do you have photos of your setup? Happy to check and see if anything looks unusual or strange.

With the UCA pivot bolt loose there will be some movement. We recommend checking the torque of major components before and after every trip.

UCA Pivot Bolt: 85ft/lbs
UCA Spindle Thru-Bolt: 100ft/lbs
