Ugh, I bought from a vendor with terrible reviews here

And I regret it already. It's like the guy running the email hates everybody that emails him.

Also, homeboy doesn't quite understand how design ideas don't always translate well in the final product. You can cut the coolest font ever into sheet metal, and it will look like a sillhouette instead of words. Just imagine, coloring in all the spaces on all these letters here. Pretty hard to read right?

Word to the wise, one or two people might have trouble with a vendor, that's normal. If thirty different members have beef, even if it was four years ago, just don't even bother.

I expected as much honestly, but hoped for better. We'll see in the end how the final product is. So far it's just hilariously bad customer service. It's one of the many fabricators that make 4th gen parts. Since we can't rely on bigger companies to make some niche products for us I'm not going to flame anyone. Seriously, I'd let you talk trash all you want if you'd only sell me a bloody snorkel for this generation.

Unfortunately the only one who makes this particular part. Also one of the few to have so much drama here a few years ago. I hoped that time had solved the problem of inexperience for the "company"

After the crap pelfreybilt pulled I'm hesitant to buy from any smaller shops or middlemen.

We need some sort of Star based rating system that aggregates reviews from forum members or like a stickied vendor guide. I like that vendors are members here, but we might need a thread they can't participate in or something. Idk

Come on, cut the foreplay. What company is this? You're already complaining, might as well name drop. It's not like you're sitting in some crappy restaurant and worried that the chef will spit in your soup if you complain.

Unfortunately these are the downsides of small business. Some businesses are honest about order issues, while others will keep playing around. It sucks, but the ones that really dick their customers around are the ones that make "Made in China" a bigger threat to them than it already is. Hope you paid with a credit card.

The issue, in my eyes, is that one must search through too many threads to find reviews on vendors. Unless they recently blew up, like pelfreybilt, it takes a good deal of effort to find solid reviews about a vendor.

I've seen a vendor for the big brake kit trashed here, but I'm convinced it's a solid product. At $2k I'm a bit more hesitant than I was with a steel rear window plate.

The guy selling the molle plates threw a fit years ago on the forum, and hasn't improved much in the mean time.

I haven't received the product so a full review isn't available yet. Maybe we can all move past who and move toward finding a better way of rating and reviewing vendors. This thread would have to be moderated probably more than others, so it may not be realistic.
