Ultimate Build?

Been a spectator for a while, now I feel I'm ready for my first post. I own a 98 4Runner, V6, 4X, SR5, A/T, with 140k miles, and I am planning my build. I'm want a daily driver with some wheeling capabilities and additional attitude under the hood; the vehicle is currently stock and does runs well.

This is where the group comes in, focusing on engine and suspension performance - What should I have on my list, excluding the Supercharger for now (don't want to pay for premium gas on a daily driver), what would you guys do? I've got a pretty good size budget for this build, so don't hold back.

Arb bumper with warn winch, stubbs or similar sliders, coilovers up front(your choice brand) land cruiser coils in the rear with bilstein 5125 shocks, custom rear bumper with tire carrier. 1 or 2' body lift so you can fit 35's go with am ud tire(cooper stt or mtz), Reagear to 4.56 or 4.88 and add lockers.

For under the hood you can add a cold air intake and do an exhaust. Thats about all you can do there without adding the s/c and fuel upgrades..

I agree with Haddix. Sonoran Steel and Toytec Lifts are both good sources for various lifts. Look at my sig for my build. I use mine as a daily driver and it is great and very capable off-road. Would regear and add locker.

Performancve wise, deckplate mod or Cold Air intake. Headers and Cat back exhaust. If you have another vehicle you can send your ECU to Jet Performance and have it reflashed (similar to a chip or power programmer). they will send it back to you with new programming. If you choose to do it I would wait until you have the other mods done so they can prgoram for those also.

If you do regear, hang on to the third member and front diff....cause if you don't live in Colorado, they are apparently really hard to find and cost a lot of moola. I can't wait to see the posts on your progress...I'd like to boost performance on my 98 too...

System 1.2: The "All Toyota Factory Coil" lift: Adjustable 1.5" to 2.5" Front & 3.5" Rear. The kit with the best "pure off-road" prowess bar none. 4WD Only.

* Ideally this lift is for a truck with custom front & rear bumper as well as rock sliders. If your truck has a stock front bumper, that is fine, but if you have a stock rear bumper a Class III trailer hitch installed with the complete stock rear bumper/spare tire along with a set of functional rock sliders would be acceptable. The rear coils are brand new, the are made of a small diameter wire with wide wraps. They will require some time to settle to the final height. All of the data for this lift kit was compiled with springs that had between 40K and 100K miles on them. These coils will hold out for an extremely long time, but are a tad tall when brand new, plan on some settling after install. This is not the case with the front coils, those consist of a large diameter wire with tight wraps, they will not change after install. *

regearing will also help out alot, if your auto and running 32's or 33's run 4.88's if your stick you can rock the 4.56's better.
