Uncoated SS header temps?

Not sure if this is the best place to post since it's for a 2005 v6 or if engines/etc. would have been better.

Anyway, I bought some stainless short tube headers that are uncoated, I was wondering if anyone is running uncoated headers and if they had any temperature issues to deal with? I can get these coated, but due to questionable longevity of the coating I will likely need to heat wrap all nearby wires and tubes. Also considering creating a tunnel out of heat shield to fit over these instead of wrapping everything else. If someone can tell me that there's no real heat issue, over stock, then all the better.

All the info I have found so far is mostly from racing forums dealing with much higher heat rates.

From what I can tell most people with 4th gens are using thorley headers which I believe come coated as a standard, limiting how much experience there might be on the subject. I think jba made/makes some uncoated but I don't know how many actually use them.

My plan for now is just to be on the safe side. I am going to try the eastwood internal exhaust coating and hope it sticks long term. Just in case, I will also place a heat shield over the top, a shield over the starter, and wrap and nearby wires/fuel lines with aluminized loom. Looks like the alternator on the driver's side and dipstick tube on the passenger side will also need addressed with heat shield.

On a Ferrari forum it appears as though it's popular to enclose the headers on a header blanket, so both top and bottom are covered, it looks easy but I'm worried that it could cause similar issues to wrapping, does anyone have any experience with something like that?
 
How are uncoated headers different than uncoated stock manifolds in terms of heat? I would guess there wouldn't be much difference unless they were routed differently.
 
My understanding is more surface area for heat to radiate from. 3 tubes rather than approximately 1. I suppose each tube only has a third of the heat load traveling through it but assuming it's idling, I could see them reaching the same temp anyway.

I'm fully willing to admit it of I'm wrong about that. As I don't have much experience on the matter that's why I ask. I could be worried about nothing.
