Unstable on highway/Hitting sound from the right front/HELP

Hi all.

i have been having an issue with my 06 v8 sport lately.

it has 105k
moog springs , 5100s shocks and 1.5'' spacers were changed and installed last december.

about 2 months ago i started feeling it very unstable on speeds above 30 mphs.

on highway its scary when i hit a bump which goes across the whole roadway,the car just swerves scary and feels loose.

i have hitting sound coming from right front side and i dont know what it might be.

i went to my mechanic ,we lifted the car and looked and checked all possible parts ,everything seemed to be normal.


i am more concerned about the unstableness rather than hitting sound.


if you all have any ideas of what it might be,please let me know.

There has been a few folks on here with broken sway bars, so Check that, and all of the bushings on the sway bars. Maybe one of the bushing mounts are broken or loose. Check yoour stearing shaft also

Could you post some pics of the suspension parts on that side? Maybe we could see something that's "off" that way

i also forgot to mention the cracking sound when for example i pull out of a parking spot and have to quickly and all the way turn the steering wheel ,at the end i hear 2-3 cracking sounds which are not affecting anything at all.

I'm not sure if it's the source of your problem or not, but that upper ball joint looks suspect.

This is what my car did after changing the front axles, turns out I didn't quite have the passenger side fully tightened down and caused the front wheel to wobble and rub against the brakes.

^ +1, looks greasy, shouldn't be. Also can't see the sway bar bushings, but the end links look fine. I doubt bad bushings would cause you to move around like that though. I'm not even running a sway bar and my front end doesn't do that.

it feels loose at the moment of hitting the bump or pot hole .

id have concerns about the steering if a bump sends you all over the place. id say the issue is unrelated to your suspension modifications for now

you need to get alignment for the bumpsteer. the alignment guy would have a better idea when he takes a peek at you suspension. i would get that done first and make sure he offers a warranty.

Sounds like the infamous Jeep straight axle Death Wobble. Can independent suspensions do it as well? Maybe tie rod ends?

Ill do the allignment next week and see what the mechanic says.Ill keep you guys posted.
