Up for grabs....My 2005 Sport Edition V8

Hey all. As much as I hate to do this, I am getting rid of my 4runner. The wife and I are expecting soon, and we need a bigger vehicle (babies, dogs, clothes, stroller, etc). I have posted it on www.swapalease.com. It will be a brand new lease for someone since my bank (Huntington Bank) does not allow lease transfers.

It is a 2005 Toyota 4runner (well duh) Sport Edition V8. Options include:

Full Time 4WD
Black Leather (lifetime warranty from Custom Soft Trim)

Toyota Navigation
VaisTech iPod interface with auxiliary input jacks

New lease terms are $1500 due at signing, $470/month, 48 months. Car is mint, garage kept, and maintained very well. Waxed 5 times yearly. Never smoked in. Man - how many Babies are you expecting that you need a bigger vehicle than the 4Runner? I know babies come with lots of baggage but you'd think a 4Runner would be big enough til the current lease expires. Whate are you considering as a replacement? Sequoia or FORD Excursion?

I agree. I bought my 4Runner when I found out my wife was pregnant so we could have more room. No complaints so far.

Well, it is mostly my wife that is pushing this. When we travel, we take dogs, clothes, strollers, baby, etc. and we just realized that we already pretty much are packed full. She just wants something we won't have to worry about always being at capacity.

We are looking at either of the following:

Yukon Denali
Escalade
MB GL450/GL550

Just depends on what she likes....I have my BMW now, so this is her vehicle.

Take a look at those HITCH-Haulers that add about 2x4' storage to back using the std hitch receiver. I use to haul lawnmower and stuff I don't want messing up the inside of the vehicle. Real tough tying a 13 year old to it - but once they are cinched it its peaceful inside for few hours! They make them out of steel (cheap at Harbor Freight Tool -$39.99) but suspect aluminum ones are easier to handle. I added extra lights to mine and plug into the hitch wiring.

Sounds like you need a min-van - seriously. More interior room and more suited to haul kids and their junk. Buy a car top carrier if you need even more room.

Well, whatever we get it is for the wife. I have my 530i, so I am happy. We are seriously looking at the gl450 or gl550 when it is out.
