Upcoming Project on my T4R 4th gen..looking for advice and suggestions

So I finally have some time to do some work on my 2004 T4R sr5 v6

1. My shocks seem to have gone, I had the car from the beginning and I never had anything done to the suspension. I'm not looking to replace but upgrade. How often are we suppose to change these? I've been hearing on this forum and others, getting the Bilsteins and FJ coils is the best way to go. having trouble located some FJ coils but I guess I can always go to the dealership and get new ones. Not sure if I need spacers though.

2. I drove the GX470 and I am very impressed with the brakes. I wanted to get the same response out of my 4R. I added the Brembro rotors with Hawk pads and I seen an improvement in my braking, but after driving other cars I definitely am seeking to upgrade my braking system though. Researching how I am going to approach it. Anyone swap the GX braking system or FJ to the 4r?

The rest of the work I am going to do is simple things, changing my belts, battery, and change my auto start.

I use the 4runner for everything. I go to school in western PA, where there is ALOT of snow. I do offroad occasionally, but it is nothing too serious where I need alot more than stock ground clearance. I also use the 4runner to haul my motorcycle and a trailer here and there.

Also I have a question on how much people spent who did do this mod, and if they can recommend some reliable sites/ locations where I can purchase these parts?

Also when we put the FJ coils on, is there any extra mod that needs to be done or does it slip right in?

My suggestion is Bilstein 5100's with FJ coils and rear air bags. It's a great setup that won't break the bank. You can set the fronts for ~3" of lift with the FJ coils, then add a 1.5" Daystar spacer to the rear for ~2".
