The head unit in my '16 T4R Trail seems to have features that are "grayed out" (additional navi features, weather features, etc.). Are these features "unlocked" by the stealership with a cost involved? If so, does anyone have experience with said cost?

Will tire fit for non lifted vehicles be included in the first answer/discussion??

Example: What, if any, mods may be necessary for 275/70R17s on a non lifted SR5 with factory rims to prevent fender well contact? Would the factory rims need replacing?

There are aftermarket lights with amber lenses. Baja designs makes some that are plug and play with the T4R

2012 FJCruiser OEM Springs better than 5th Gen SR5?

Hello, I've been reading on fj springs w/5100s. Picked up 2012 fj springs with shocks/struts. Is that oem setup better than 2011 SR5? Just looking to level truck and have better handling. May do the 5100s up front for leveling. Any benefit in replacing rear oem springs & shocks with oem fj cruiser's? Thanks.

Yes I understand that. Was hoping for a list of all available black parts anyway because it is a pain at times searching - I'll compile the list myself and post, I was just checking one did not already exist.

I'm not a huge fan of plasti dip

I personally would like to get mine black chromed, as well as the chrome in the tail light blacked chromed. I don't want matt, cause i want it to blend in with the vehicle. I don't have personal experience with plasti dip, but i know they make product for that

UPDATE:
The first topic our group will address will be lifts and tire sizes from a total novice point of view. We will discuss, in steps, what is required to lift and run plus size tires, from all different lift options all the way to keeping your tires from rubbing. We will also discuss all the pros and cons of each phase of the lift and lift kits from spacers to Icon Stage XXX.

This is going to be quite a project so different team members will take a certain portion of the process, write it up, have the rest of the team review it for content and then we will publish. I listed the team members in the other Introduction post ( some really smart guys) so be sure to thank these guys! Hopefully we can have something that will be a peer reviewed guide for the 4Runner Lift and tire upsizing. I will keep you guys updated on the progress in this post. on 2016 4-runner trail premium ...regarding the 4 wheel drive shift lever...is it mechanical or electronic? And can you order a mechanical one versus an electronic shifter/ turn knob?

Among the 1000s of posts and pics I've scoured on this 5th gen site in the past few weeks, I saw an aftermarket emblem stick-on system. It overlays the Oem badges with a 3M adhesive. No removal of badges required.
