update on engine swaps

All the threads that come up on google are at least 5 years old, most of them are closer to 10. What's everyone doing these days? 1uz, still 3.4?
Has anyone made a 1uz swap work with the stock gauge cluster?

I can't speak from experience but I've seen a few 3rz swaps out there. If I were to swap I'd probably go that route as well. Keep it simple, Toyota, and not so overpowered you'd break sh*t.

^thanks for the reply. i know its just a matter of opinion but i've never really understood why the 3rz swap gained much traction, its the same amount of work as a 3.4 swap but less power.... it would be one thing if they got great MPG but my understanding is that they get the same as the v6. just my .02
