yea sterling wheel control did not work any more once you install an aftermarket HU. but my HU came with a really nice remote with a joy stick and it light up at night so no biggie.

If your interested, I just installed Boston Acoustics 6.5 components and they fit perfectly in the front and rear doors. If you don't mind destroying the stock speakers you can turn them into the trim pieces for your aftermarket ones.

i saw your system and love it, i just never got a chance to reply and ask you questions. i know boston acoustics are great speakers, but they're too expensive for me. how much did you get yours for? i plan on getting infinity kappa series components. also, can you post in your thread specifically how you did the fiberglassing? i've always been interested in fiberglassing, but never knew how to go about doing it.

I'll post the fiberglassing info in my thread later today. As for the speakers, the Infinity Kappas are also good, so I think you're on the right track. Just check the size and who knows, they still may fit like mine do.

Did you have the JBL system in your truck? If you did, did you have a harness that just plugged into the stock harness? Where did you get that? I am getting my old car back from my sis for a couple of weeks and I'm yanking out all my old stereo stuff...now I have to figure out how to put it all in or just sell it.

I did not have the JB set up so i can't tell you what those harnesses look like. What i did was just go to best buy and tell them what car i have and they supplied me with a harness. I think you can try the same.

nice...you got the dual 4ohm ones....mine is only single. and you got two! i wish i can do that but i need the cargo space because i go on camping trips and such. : I plan on building a custom box this summer to save some more space and stick an L7 in it, so i get more bass off one sub.

i got the 3rd row option so i usually take the subs down when i need the seats or vise versa. but i can leave both in when i dont feel like lifting that heavy box. it sits perfectly in between the 3rd row seats when it's lifted.

i'm in the north side. you? i just got the stock radio and i got the subs and amp installed at this one shop at elston and cicero. dont have aim yet but i'll sign up and pm you with an sn.

i'm on the north side also. yea it sucks having to move the box everytime you need room. The small box I have is annoying me, so I can't imagine how I'd feel with yours. But hey, your system bumps harder than mine! You should really get a HU in there...it makes a big difference!
