Upgraded 265/75/16.do I need zero calibration

Do our 4runners need the zero calibration done when replacing stock tires for taller ones? I've only read about zero calibration being done after people trying to pull codes.

Are you refering to zeroing the speedometer? You can check your speedo reading against a GPS device and determine if you need to re-zero. I would think you do have to do this, as going to larger diameter tires means less RPM for the tires at a given speed. Since the differential, transmission and t/c ratios haven't changed to compensate for this, your speedo will be off. Whether it is off enough to matter is another question.

if you notice that your traction control kicks in more than it did before replacing your tires, then do a zero point calibration. Otherwise, not necessary.

It is pretty easy to do though, if it will give you more peace of mind it might be worth it.
