I was thinking of doing a few things to my 4runner. I am looking to get better gas mileage and possibly pump up the performance a bit. So far from reading around the forums I have picked out a few things to do.

- High Flow Cat
- Flowmaster 50 series
- Trueflow Air filter with Deckplate mod
- Airraid Throttle Body Spacer
- Add-A-Leaf Lift, Possibly?

As far as I have read, doing these mods wont throw any codes and should give me a few more MPG on average, plus a mildly aggressive sound. Has anyone done the Add-A-Leaf lift kit? What kind of ride does that give you? Pretty rough? Is it worth it?

Anyone have any other cheap mods they've done that I havnt found yet?

TBS is also a questionable mod and I've personally witnessed a few dyno runs of a TBS on a couple of 3.4s and none showed any real gains of any sort.
Your HP gains will come from the deckplate and your exhaust mods.
Bilstien and PP coils will give you almost 2" of lift while maintaing a civilized ride.
That's the setup currently on Lee's truck.

On the topic of the ISR,

how much did the mod cost? I have a '98 and I am going to go with the expensive, nice looking, and most effective route of buying the intake boots from a 99-02 4runner and getting the metal pipe via muffler shop. How much did those parts cost you? I was quoted for $95 at the toyota dealership for the boots, but if I got them from a junkyard or something they could be damaged or overworn. any ideas?
