Hey guys, long time lurker but new to posting on here. Don't want to waste your guys good time with dumb questions but hope anyone can help on this. Just got a 99 Limited and there is a small tearing in the drivers side seat in the leather.. I know this is very common as I had a 2002 years ago but didnt know if anyone knows any cool ways to fix or repair that without doing more damage?

I am in the Seattle area.

Same issue on mine, front seat leather has hardened and cracked and torn all up... Been quoted $175 per seat to recover but just don't know if I wanna pay it yet.

Is the tear on the side of the seat? That's where most go first. The vertical sides are not leather but thin vinyl. Best fix for that is swap the seat bottoms with the passenger side. (You can swap the cushions but not the frames side-to-side.) You'll have a nicer seat to sit on and the damage to the old one will be hidden. There is a how-to out there somewhere.

Thanks guys yes the rip/ tear is on the left side not the top of the seat.
