upper ball joint HElP ME!

so its been about 4 hours and i still haven't gotten my upper ball joint out yet. 1. Rented a ball joint press (The thing is too damn big!) doesn't work. 2 got the biggest hammer i have and have been beating the Sh*t out of it for 2 hours. and 3. tried using a 2 jaw puller and still nothing. i need help. About to give up and quit. but trying to push and figure this sh*t out.

**Side note, doing all this to try to put in my light racing ucas**

Did you take the snap ring off? Don't mean to sound like a smart ass but I've seen plenty of people try to do it with it still on.

just took it off a few minutes ago. now trying everything over again.

To fit the giant c clamp thing in there, use the "tallest" receiver cup underneath so the screw part is not sticking up as far. Also disconnect the sway bar end link to allow the front suspension to droop. (remember to support the LCA underneath) Also, may have to cut the stud off the top of the ball joint to allow a normal size socket or cup. I remember renting the "big" kit from Advanced Auto Parts, and it took me a while to come up with the right configuration.

I just took mine off last week. I heated the spindle, tapped the spindle with a hammer, then hammered the balljoint from all sides on top.
