upper ball joint leaking grease

I can hear minor squeak when drive over speed bump at low speed.
Is this normal for a bone stock no lift only 12000mi 2014 runner?

squeak isn't normal - doubt it's the ball joint
ball joint looks normal, rubber 'boot' is really to keep dirt, dust, water away from joint - not to seal in grease

Can I assume both drive shafts were greased at 10k miles? Slip yokes on those maybe at fault.

I just installed the 5100s and toy tech springs. My upper boot is now leaking grease.


Do I need to replace this entire part or is this to be expected with the removal and re install of the old part ?

Might depend on how abusive the removal process was. Using a pickle fork or a wrong-sized ball joint tool can damage the boot enough to cause it to start leaking.

I am guessing that the reason that the OPs ball joints are leaking is because he removed his sway bar.

Off road much? If you are articulating too hard without that sway bar, that is likely your problem right there.

Am I able to just replace the boot. I think my buddy hit the boot and did damage it . Also is this something needs to be replace immediately or can it wait awhile
