Upper Control Arms

I am thinking of replacing my XREAS with an aftermarket setup and am leaning toward the Radflo/OW setup. Through my suspension research, I keep hearing talk of replacing the UCA's. What exactly does an Upper Control Arm do and why would I want to replace it? I saw that someone is selling his FJ UCA's...would this fit our 4runner?

If you lift your rig, even a 3" your alignment may be a bit off to where your UCA are maxed out and cant be adjusted anymore, the aftermarket UCA drop down the ball joint to relieve stress and correct the steering geometry. Not sure about the FJ UCA's

It restores caster adjustment and gives more clearance for wider tires.
