Urgent help needed!

Towing by AAA is only free for like 5 miles, tried to use the and they gave use this bullsh!t about how the X miles, maybe it is just my area. AAA is worth it for the discounts you get everywhere.

Check out your membership, there is 3 different levels...on the premium you get 1 200 mile tow and 3 100 mile tows each year for free...its a bit more per year tho.

Yeah, I have the Plus membership and I get 100 miles of free towing/year and I can call them to come out up to 6 times (IIRC). It's like $78/year so very worth it. The only place in the country that AAA won't help you is in a national/state park. I found that out the hard way in Yellowstone a few years ago. I had to pay a "park" tow truck $120 just to bring me a new battery. When I got home I called AAA and said, "last I checked you claim to provide service anywhere in the US. It doesn't say anywhere except..." They agreed and reimbursed me the $120.

Yea I always cringe imagining breaking down on a trail or breaking something on a trail and having to call one of those off road tows or assitance vehicles.

But they should reimburse you. They can't go on the New Jersey TurnPike or the Garden State ParkWay but they routinely reimburse.

^^Exactly - I broke down on the Atlantic City Expressway on Christmas nite at 3am( I work in a casino and wear a suit) the Xpressway tow truck driver pushed me about 10 miles to the next exit and then a AAA towed me home from there.
Only time my '88 SR5 'PuP ever broke down in 20 years. I don't think my stock Jack would even lift me - I really need a Hi-lift Jack...

alright guys so i got it fixed. This morning i had to skip a class and went to autozone to get a replacement brake cylinder. Not too bad to fix at all. 2 bolts and a brake line and its free. i also got rear shoe tools which made the job SOOOO much easier (like 6 bucks) my total was like 42 bucks for parts. I can't imagine how much the dealership would charge now. Brake fluid was low and the pedal went far because of that. went to dealership to get the flush and new brake fluid and that was 70 bucks.

so relieved its fixed now

Glad to hear it's fixed.

You can do the brake bleed yourself too. $28 gets you speed bleeders on all 4 wheels so you can bleed the brakes by yourself. Otherwise just get a friend to help you out. I personally like the speed bleeders, cause you can really pump fluid out easily without introducing air.
