Urgent, Oil all over the place (pics)

Hey everyone my T4R have been reacting quite weird lately and I went to check the oil tonight and bam... this is what i found

When I was 17 years old...I was naive & forgot to cap the oil cap.

In your case...it looks like a valve gasket. Easy to fix.

Pull your spark plug wires out & see if it's saturated w/ motor oil.

If it isn't...then it looks like a valve gasket.

If it is...then you have a lot more work to do. I would speculate head gasket, perhaps piston rings are fried too.

If it's this case...you'll see blue smoke out of your tailpipe. This is how it was w/ my 1985 Toyota MR2.

was the dipstick installed fully? or was it pushed out of the tube? Any oil on the bottom of the hood?

There was a little on the bottom of the hood where the rubber piece touched the crosspiece but no evidence of a "blast"

Well after a little bit of lookin and diggin around found this little bugger....

can this be fixed or should i get a new radiator

just go to your local auto parts store, and get a new radiator. I think i gave $199 for mine, it looks exactly like the factory radiator.

I replaced my radiator too because I cracked mine.

I think mine was the exact same too.

see how much my toyota guy wants for one then ill debate on whether to get a new or used one, considering i will hopefully get a sport in a year

thats a hell of a deal! when i busted mine, i had to have one right away, so i was willing to pay whatever

Yup, it was for a second car, so I didn't mind waiting for it. If you're in a hurry though, it'll be hard.

Yeah, but if its an auto then you dont want to risk running a non-oem transmission cooler that runs through the bottom tank. It wouldn't be worth screwing up a 2500 transmission to save 200 bucks on a radiator.

Get a Toyota OEM is my opinion. Otherwise get an aftermarket and do a bypass. I plan on doing the bypass soon. This is the only Toyota on ebay. They are usually at least 300 from the dealership. (if not more)

as i have said many times before, any non toyota part is manufactured to the original factory spec, and carries a better warranty. and is usually the oem manufacturer anyways, you are just eliminating the middle man, but is your $. pick wisely.

i cannot see the pic in the link, but if that is a koyo aluminum radiator, that is a hell of a deal. but with that radiator, you must run an aftermarket tranny cooler for sure. i used to run koyo radiators in my rx7s. very high quality. i would recommend that radiator for that price.

i had to have one right away, so i took it to firestone ...paid 330 for everything, which isnt too bad, had to drive the tundra around for the day

I also thought that if you buy a oem replacement that is NOT in the toyota box it would be the same as a Toyota packaged part.

Then I actually had to do a study in statistics class that dealt with failure rates of "brand" packaged parts from Japanese companies like Toyota, Honda, Mazda, etc.

These brand packaged parts had to meet extra high levels of quality that the oem replacements were not forced to meet. Sometimes they are made with the same components but are made under different conditions or from different factories. Sometimes they ARE the same in different boxes.

I am not saying that the Toyota packaged part you get will be better. They are just held to the standard Toyota has placed on them, which is usually high. The non-Toyota parts could be held to a higher standard or maybe to a "made in china junk" standard. Just buy from good reputable companies and I am sure most have high quality standards that are as good as Toyota.
