I was helping a friend yesterday install spindles, new rears coils and SS extended brake lines and now we have fun into a major problem and are looking for help. The fronts went fine but for some reason the rears wont bleed properly. Here is the situation....
For some reason the fitting would not break loose from the rubber line on the rear brakes. The fitting got pretty messed up so we stopped. I had to cut the hard line behind the fitting, take the hardline and rubberline off the axle and usede the vice in my parents garage to break it loose. I then had to tweek and reshape the hardline, place the fitting on the line and then reflare the line. This happened to both lines in the rear. I reinstalled the lines and tried to bleed the lines. strange thing is that almost no fluid was coming through. The air to fluid ratio is about 10% fluid to 90% air. I don't get what is going on. We tried to bleed the breaks for about an hours, but no success, all we get is mostly air with very little fluid. This should not be happening. I disconected both rear lines at the top of the new SS line and blew through them. They are fine no blockage. What the is causing the brakes to not bleed properly?!?!
