First here is a list of things that I just did to the 4runner tonight.

Changed Oil and Filter
Changed Spark Plugs and Wires
Cleaned the MAF

It is a 1999 4runner Limited 3.4 auto,

After doing said maintenance I started the car up and everything sounded great, then things went bad. I gave it a little gas and the throttle went wide open I may have moved the pedal 1/8th of an inch. I shut the car off and started back up it went right back to wide open. I need answers fast and I hope someone can help me.

What did you use to clean the MAF there smokey?

Just went out and started it with my brother in law watching under the hood. The throttle cable isn't moving at all yet its revving to almost 7k

OK, somehow you disconnected the throttle cable or it broke, and the throttle plate is open. Don't let it rev to 7k with no load.

I got it figured out but another thing i didn't mention is my driver side low beam is now out and even with a new bulb doesn't work any ideas there?

mashed the pedal and and it stopped immediately. Right before I unhooked the MAF and it sputtered and tried to die then when I hooked it back up I hit the gas and everything went to normal except my driver side low beam

I think Roc Doc was right and it was just burning off the cleaner, although it was dry when I put it back in.

There is no way that maf cleaner caused that unless u were physically blasting that shit into the intake while it was running...

I'm going to double check everything tomorrow drove it a couple miles down the road without a hiccup nothing looked out of place and ran just fine. No CEL yet either.
