It's just capitalism at work, friends.

We all should just give thanks that we already have one of these. On the bright side, they are a valuable asset right now if you need the cash more than the car. I am seriously considering selling mine (yes, for as much as possible) because I have a son going to college this fall! Every little bit will help. I have to say, I will not feel sorry for dealers a couple of years from now when they are discounting heavily and begging us to come back.

Not sure it's because of supply or 4Runners are in high demand, but I bought my 2010 SR5 for 40K new in 2010 and now I still got 24K for it.

I just purchased a new 2022 TRD Off Road and they marked it up disgustingly high! MSRP was $44K and when they ran the numbers they marked it up to $54K! Once I started walking out the door they took it down to more of a reasonable price $48K and my out the door with Tax, Title, Registration Fees, Extended Warranty, as well as a few accessories I added in it was $54K out the door. Not a $54K starting price like they wanted it to be! Sadly I know of a few people who purchased at different dealers (After the fact) in my area with no markups what so ever. I choose this one because it was the Model, had the options I wanted as well as the color I was looking for. Disappointed in the price, but ultimately is was my decision to stay or walk away.
